Accessible Toronto HVAC information
Accessibility Statement
The website is designed so customers can understand HVAC services and submit a request using different devices and input methods. Before launch, the operating organization must align this statement and feedback process with the accessibility requirements that apply to its size and activities in Ontario.
Accessibility goals and feedback process for the Thermal North Toronto HVAC website and service-request form.
Build a service requestDigital accessibility implementation
The implementation targets semantic headings, labelled controls, keyboard operation, visible focus, sufficient colour contrast, text alternatives for meaningful images, responsive zoom and reduced-motion support. Error messages are written in text and linked to fields rather than communicated by colour alone.
The internal design target is WCAG 2.2 AA. Automated checks support review but do not replace keyboard, screen-reader, zoom and real-user testing.
- Keyboard navigation
- Screen-reader labels
- Visible focus and contrast
- Reduced motion and responsive text
Requesting information in another format
The final site should provide a verified phone or email channel for customers who cannot use the web form or need information in another accessible format. Response timing must match the operating company’s real process.
A service provider should also ask about communication or access needs relevant to the appointment without collecting unrelated personal or medical details.
Accessibility feedback and known limitations
The published statement must name an accessibility contact and explain how feedback will be acknowledged. Report the page, task, browser or assistive technology when possible so the barrier can be reproduced.
Any third-party map, scheduler, review widget, payment page or chat tool requires separate testing. Known limitations should be documented with an alternative path while remediation is underway.
